Can you believe we have completed 25% of the school year? We had an active nine weeks of school ofunleashing each student’s potential with relationship, community and team-building activities, engaging students back to school and enriching field trips. We are teaching for the future – all means all/equity and access through collective efficacy (It takes a village to raise a child).  Take notice how we are striving to close opportunity gaps, align curricula with authentic learning experiences, apply design thinking in our school and expand contemporary learning resources to all students.

Our new start ups –

• FLES(Foreign Language Elementary School) Spanish Program in grades Kg & 1 with our new Spanish teacher – Ms. Deacon
• Crozet C.A.R.E.S program for anti-bullying prevention through school counseling curriculum/Responsive Classroom Approach in every learning space of our school.
• Our Crozet Code – developed by our student leadership club in collaboration with all homerooms pulling all our class rules together known as the “Crozet Code” – “We Are Responsible, Respectful & Ready to Learn – signed by our entire student body.

• Follow our school’s, students’, teachers, twitter feed and blogs from PE, Art, Music & Principal which also provides on-going announcements and student reflections about their learning experiences.
• Check out the weekly online e-news from your child’s teacher.
• Your continued support of volunteering, monetary contributions, participation in our PTO’s community-building fundraiser events, food contributions to our teacher/staff appreciation lunches, supporting our PTO Eagle Time after-school enrichment program.

Continue to establish routines at home with your child to be ready to learn. It is essential to our success. The season of thanksgiving is right around the corner! I would like to thank you, our PTO Executive Board and PTO for their amazing support to our school as well as many other parent leaders, volunteers, community churches and community helpers such as; WAHS Teacher Cadets, Henley Helpers and our 2019-20 Crozet Connections of local business Platinum and Gold sponsors.
