As we end the first month of the new year, we entered into 2020 with exciting activities and learning opportunities. We started the new year with

• launching Book 3 – The Day You Begin  – for our school wide book club.
• our school-wide Crozet CARES – Bucket Filling Week with student activities to learn about – Respect.
• Henley’s Middle School principal, counselor and former students visit our 5th graders.
• our School Spelling Bee.
• first grade Kindness Heroes surprises.
• our school Cultural Arts Assembly – The Roots of Rock & Rap, learning about African American influences on music.

In the mist of all these positive community-builder activities, teachers administered mid-year assessments to gauge what I students have learned.  So now we begin planning forward – New Learning Opportunities for 2020!
